on a happy note.
went to watch A Nation In Concert 2006 with sis in the afternoon. didnt regret my choice considering that there was much mugging to be done for promos. i was impressed, not by the quality or professionalism, but by the spirit and vision of this event. this is a performance put up by volunteers as well as the disabled, mainly people from Handicap Welfare Association, Singapore Association for the Deaf etc. can you imagine being deaf, not being able to hear the music you dance to, not being able to see the audience (due to lightings), not being to enjoy the applause from the audience? i really admire their courage and determination to put up a good show for us (: they really deserve a standing ovation for 2 messages they stand for : to prove that they have remarkable talents and to encourage Singaporeans to volunteer for worthy causes.
on the sad note.
liverpool just lost their derby 3-0 to everton. im loss for words. and i can say that it is indeed heartbreaking. and so many questions are popping out of my head.
why will a team with such great potential lose? why didnt they hang on? why didnt i see HUNGER for the ball? why didnt they perservere and fight till the very end? why did i see the loss of spirit? why didnt i see the atmosphere between the players and supporters? why did all these happen?
i watched them play, i watched them possess. but i didnt see them put in
all efforts to win the game. losing isnt everything. losing because of the loss of courage to push on is something.
i see the disappointment in their eyes, but turn it into hunger and determination. GO ON.
(was kind of frustrated when a blackout happened after typing this entry. i had to type all over again! arh. short circuits and physics again. yucks. learn to love it.)
